Okefenokee Swamp, the Moody Air Show, and Atlanta!

One weekend Kent and I decided to go for a drive to Okefenokee Swamp. Isn't that a funny name? haha- I thought so! We thought that there would be a lot more to do, so all we could do was go for a nature walk along a boardway for an hour or so. The swamp itself, as you can see, was CREEPY and eerie. I have never seen plants or insects quite like the ones that live there. It was interesting, to say the least!

Our Little Weekend Trip to Atlanta!

That is the hotel we stayed in! It was pretty nice!

This is the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. We spent a few hours here basking in the joy of lovely art! They had ancient Egyptian and Mesopotamian art on loan from the Louvre, beautiful marble statues, and a special exhibit on Impressionism! That was simply heavenly! I loved it. You would have really liked it too, Mom and Joe.

This is the enormous and incredible Georgia Aquarium! We saw SO many cool fish and sea creatures there. It was definitely worth the money and was a lot of fun. The rest of the pictures are a mere sampling of the countless cool creatures we saw! The river otters, beluga whales, and sea lions were my favorites, though the huge Japanese crab, jellyfish, and the sea dragons were really interesting and cool too.

More kitty pictures and finally... pictures of OUR HOME!!!!

I just could NOT resist posting even more pictures of our silly furry little pills, so here are a few of the funniest! Also, due to popular demand, here are pictures of our home here in Valdosta, Georgia! It is about 1300 square feet and we love it! It is cozy, comfy, and really feels like home! We have spent some time in the yard since these pictures were taken, killing poison oak, building a shed in the backyard, and planting tulip bulbs in the front! Also, you can see my new car in one of the pictures! It is a Toyota Corolla and I named her Ginny, after Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter series! She is a great car and I love her! Incidently, Kent's black Frontier is named Harry after Harry Potter himself! (You can tell what we like!)

The newest additions to our family: Hermione and Merlin!

As many of you know, I love kitties and have REALLY wanted one since I sadly had to put my last kitty, Spice, asleep. Kent and I had looked online for cats in our area and waited for our fire ant problem in the house to clear up before we were finally able to adopt these two adorable kittens a month ago! We adopted them at Petsmart, they are both four months old, and no, they are not litter-mates! But that is ok, they shared a kennel at the humane society and get along really well- that is why we decided to adopt both of them and not separate them! (That would have been mean) The orange tabby is Hermione and the black one is Merlin- both names in honor of fabulous literary characters! (I know, I am a English geek!) They both are lovable, have very LOUD motors, and love to play. Merlin is more mischievious and is ALWAYS in trouble and constantly following us around and getting into things. Hermione is very sweet, but boy can she jump HIGH when we play with her! We love them and they make our life here in Georgia more exciting and eventful!
